I use a systemic approach, which means I view the problems of an individual in relation to the different contexts a person lives in. Both individual and with the whole family, we can work on a better understanding and support.

We are all part of a bigger picture, such as family, friends, work, school. Within those systems, we have contacts with other people and we influence each other. The difficulties you have can affect others. And the other way around, difficulties in your surroundings can influence your own behaviour and reactions. Difficulties in one setting can affect other settings, when a child has difficulties at school, for example with learning, this has an effect on his family situation. Or a child could perform less because of problems in his family situation.

In my approach, I don’t look only at the individual, but especially at the person in relation to others. Together we look where the difficulties could come from and who can support you with the changes you want to make. We look for the strengths and skills in your family with the purpose to help family members to understand each other and to increase the communication and to look for solutions together.
